Rams and CVC Close to London Settlement

The Rams say an agreement with the CVC has yet to be finalized on plans for the team to play home games in London over the next three seasons. However, the NFL announced Sunday on its nfluk.com website that tickets for this year’s Oct. 28 game against New England on Oct. 28 will go on sale Monday because the issue had been settled.

Ticket sales had been stopped when the CVC made it known that playing a home game in London would be a violation of the team’s lease.

On nfluk.com, it said, “The NFL is pleased to announce that general admission ticket sales for the October 28 International Series game between the St Louis Rams and New England Patriots at Wembley Stadium will begin at 2pm tomorrow (Monday, February 6). The Rams have achieved a resolution to the stadium lease issues that caused last week's delay in the sales process and are excited about bringing their team to London to host the AFC champion Patriots.

In a text message Sunday, Rams chief operating officer Kevin Demoff said, “We are in the process of finalizing a deal with the CVC that benefits all parties. The agreement is subject to final approval by the CVC board and RSA (Regional Sports Authority).”

It seems clear both sides have agreed, and that the final approval necessary is a formality.
