Two Finalists in Rams' GM Search

The Rams are in the process of finalizing a contract agreement with Les Snead to become the team's new general manager.

Snead and George Paton were identified as the two finalists for the job entering the weekend, but Paton agreed to stay with the Minnesota Vikings with a promotion to assistant general manager.  Paton has been the Vikings' director of player personnel for the last five years.

Snead has been in the same position with the Atlanta Falcons for the last three years and with the organization for 13 years.

Negotiations were ongoing throughout the day Saturday, but were not finished at the end of the day. It is expected that an agreement will be concluded Sunday, or Monday at the latest.

Another Snead with varied scouting experience in the league, including with the Tennessee Titans when Fisher was the head coach there, has also been hired by the Rams although Rich Snead’s actual responsibilities are not yet known.
