  • RammerFan commented on I still don't like Vick...and I guess I won't.
Hey DubSG -- your challenge (in case you forgot) was to name five quarterbacks you'd rather have ... so I did. And truth be told, I hate that we've tolerated Bulger this long, but I'd rather have him than Vick because yeah, I have standards and no, Vick doesn't come close to meeting them. On field performance does matter, but I'm willing to admit I'd rather support people with some backbone and character vs. those without either. You may think Vick paid "more than" his debt, but that doesn't make everyone see it that way. The difference isn't his color (and it's juvenile and racist of you to bring it up) -- it's what he did. It wasn't an accident or poor judgement (like Little), it was intetional and motivated by money.

Whether he (or others) ever see how transparent his "speech" is, Vick didn't convince me either, and he probably never will. He said he didn't want to elaborate on what he did, it was something that happened that he'd seen others do many times ... but later he said he wouldn't blame his background. This man is no more able to face the horrors of what he did than Mac is able to admit that the steroids helped. He said he didn't need the therapy that's part of his probation, proving he clearly doesn't understand why it's required (and maybe that he wasn't in prison long enough to get it). And it was telling when he said he was shocked to win the courage award (we're shocked too).rnAs far as other QBs, Feeley aside and assuming we're not limited to free agency, how about old man Favre, Flacco or Schaub ... or perhaps Delhomme.rnBut if we're only talking free agents, there's still Orton, Brunell and Pennington to consider before Vick, who'd have to climb up a long way to be a thug.rn

  • RammerFan commented on Faulk: Vick Could be Good Fit for Rams.
Vick is not a good fit anywhere. Fans are hard-pressed to accept player problems that are accidents, but his behavior was intentional and motivated by money. People like that don't change.
