What are we going to do about the BCS and those who love it? The elitists, some who want a college football playoff some who don't, refuse to give the non-BCS schools a fair shot at the title. Let's face it, a non-BCS team will not be allowed to play for the national champpionship! I think that is unfair and un-American! But, as I work with an avowed college football elitist I realize that you have to pick your battles and I'm tired of fighting it.
So, I have to go along to get along. But you still have to go with logic and fairness when selecting teams for your top bowl games and especially the championship game. If a contender loses to a team that is not realistically eligible for the title...that is a black mark that cannot be erased!
Oklahoma....you're out! Great team but you lost to a team that you openly ostracize. "Hey, we'll play you to make some money but, we really just intend on making you fodder." Oops! Somebody forgot totell BYU. Remember, I've given in. I'm not here to make a case for a non-BCS school to even get recognition for the title game. But once we agree that non-BCS teams are outsiders, outcasts, untouchables even, then it's only logical to say, that if a BCS team loses to one of those dregs of our caste system, that the loser can't be our champion. I mean, how would that look?
Oklahoma, see your season go whistling down the plain. Where your hopes were as high as an elephant's eye and now the entire season is a shame! Oh, oh, Oklahoma..........
