Well we've now learned, or certainly it's confirmed that the Cardinals can kick the the ass of bad pitchers on whom they have videotape.  Last night the fellas did just that while their own bad pitcher, God love him, Todd Wellemeyer earned a view from the seats in October....As mentioned on "The Fastlane" yesterday, I was looking for Colby Rasmu to get some looks in the five hole.  Sure enough, he did and it was a rousing success.  Let's see if it works against somebody good...Have you noticed that it seems like the entire club is ouchee?...Ryan's wrist, Glaus' oblique, Rasmus' leg, Pujols' entire body, Smotz' elbow, Franklin's psyche, the red patch on the Skipper's derriere, etc....Tony is going to have to give everyone  more rest than he would normally like...They must be healthy going into the playoffs...

Did watch Monday night football?...How many lightyears away are the rams?

Leno already had West scheduled before the embarasment of the MTV awards, and I know that he is never going to be confused with a real interviewer, but Jay was softer than a Brad Thompson changeup...

I love the entertainment business and the passing of a terriffic entertainer, Patrick Swayze, is very sad.  A very nice career and a very tough guy fighting off cancer for as long as he did...so if you don't know his film work Rammer the film critic has put together the ultimate Patrick Swayze trilogy...

Road House...Dalton,"Pain don't hurt."

Red Dawn...Every boy's playing-army fantasy..."Wolverines!

Ghost...Pretty good movie though low on testosterone.

If you want more Swayze how about another trilogy the next night...

Point Break, Next of Kin and Dirty Dancing...

RIP Patrick...your work will live on and always entertain us.
