12:02pm – Bernie opens the show with his Bullet Points. Steven Jackson gets the first game ball, and Bernie talks about how hard it is for a running back to play as well as he has on a team that has no passing attack. You can’t say Coach Spags is a great coach or bad coach yet, but Bernie thinks he is doing a good job leading the players. Jason Smith has scary good talent, and it’s just a matter of putting it all together. 12:22pm – Rams insider Jim Thomas joins the show live from Rams Park. Coaches can’t reinvent themselves, and Coach Spags has been sincere with this team and the players believe in him. The guys discuss the offensive play calling and think they should’ve run the ball a little more. Bernie is happy Scott Linehan couldn’t walk off the field as a winner because of how he destroyed the Rams franchise. Thomas doesn’t think anything serious will come out of the game injury wise.
12:42pm – Bernie takes some calls and reads some texts on the Rams. Many listeners are happy with Steven Jackson, but still upset with the offense and Marc Bulger. Bulger lost some credibility yesterday when he slid too early on a big 3rd down when every possession counts in a game that is winnable. Other quarterbacks in the league sacrifice their bodies to win games. 1:02pm – Bernie starts off the second hour discussing the Blues. Bernie says 7 goals in 6 home games is just awful. They have talent, they have players who are capable of scoring goals, but just are performing. Their best players have to play better. Period. Brett Favre going back to Green Bay didn’t need hype; it was a stand alone event. Bernie didn’t pay attention to all the hoopla before the game so he could really enjoy it. The Packers and their fans completely freaked themselves out yesterday and made it easy for Favre. 1:22pm – Former Ram and six time Pro Bowler La’Roi Glover joins the show. The win will help Coach Spags because it reinforces his message of how to turn the organization around. Glover thinks Steven Jackson will make the Pro Bowl this season even though the team is playing so poorly and doesn’t get the national attention other teams do.
1:42pm – Many listeners are texting in on whether Marc Bulger should’ve gone for the first down instead of sliding too early yesterday. Bernie says if you play this position you have to be able to go for it. If you are worried about Bulger getting hurt, then he shouldn’t be in the game.
