9:02a-- Parris has something to say: stop throwing Chase Utley fastballs! Burwell's got something to say as well: this years World Series has been one of the most entertaining in history; from the Brett Myers/Cole Hamels controversy to the horrible umpiring crew. Parris doesn't understand the Blues' schedule and in December, they play pretty much every other day. Parris is proud to say that the Rams have jumped from last to #29 in the Sporting News' new NFL power rankings. Burwell thinks the fans need to stop saying the Rams should trade Steven Jackson while he has value. Parris has something to say: Manu Ginobli needs to leave the bats alone.

9:23a-- The guys talked about this years World Series and how entertaining it's been. Burwell thinks Charlie Manuel is a genius, though Parris doesn't understand some of the decisions he has made this postseason. Parris says that the Yankees are crazy if they keep throwing Chase Utley fastballs; and since Ryan Howard isn't hitting in this World Series (record-tying 12 strikeouts) they need to just walk him or pitch around him. Neither Parris nor Burwell would have pitched A.J. Burnett last night in game 5 because his track record on 3 days rest isn't a very good one. Burwell wonders if Andy Pettitte will be effective in game 6, since he's now in his mid-30s. Parris says that if the Phillies end up losing this series, Philadelphia fans are going to wonder why Cliff Lee only pitched twice while C.C. Sabathia pitched 3 times. Parris and Burwell both agree that Joe Girardi has overmanaged his team more than once in this year's World Series.

9:44a-- Cardinals insider Brian Feldman joined the guys to talk about the 2009 World Series. Feldman doesn't understand why Lee started game 5 instead of game 4 either; so he believes Girardi has been the better manager thus far. Feldman says that the dropoff from Lee to the rest of the Phillies rotation is a pretty significant one. Burwell doesn't think Pettitte will be very effective in game 6 because he hasn't pitched on 3 days rest since 2006 and his lifetime ERA on 3 days rest is over 5.  Feldman thinks that pitching Cliff Lee as many times as possible would have been the key for the Phillies to repeat.

10:03a-- It's time for the Tuesday edition of the PB Jam! Today's questions are:
- Which game 6 starter would you rather have? Pedro Martinez or Andy Pettitte on short rest?
- Have you been happy with this years World Series so far? And give it a grade.
- Who loses first, Saints or Colts?

- Eat your favorite food everyday for every meal for the rest of your life or would you rather never get to taste it again?
- Feel completely healthy, but never be able to look fully healthy or look fully healthy but have a permanent ailment?
- Eat an entire can of wet cat food, or clean out a cat's litterbox with your bare hands?

10:23a-- Gary Shelton of the St. Petersburg Times joined the guys to talk about the Tampa Bay Bucs and the Florida Gators. Shelton says that the suspension of Brandon Spikes for eye gouging has been the talk of Gator Nation since it happened on Saturday, but no one is really worried about it. Shelton says Tim Tebow is a great kid and has been great for college football, but he believes that there is a lot of hype surrounding him and some people may be waiting for him to fail. Shelton doesn't think that Tebow is a first round pick, but will probably go late in the first round or early in the second round to a team that may use him in the wildcat offense. Shelton says the Tampa Bay Bucs play a much more difficult schedule than any of the other losing teams in the NFL. Shelton hopes the NFL owners will spend more money on American football sometime soon, but thinks the Bucs will eventually get a win.  Click below to hear the entire interview:

10:42a-- Parris and Burwell agree that parity is gone in the NFL, with so many horrible teams and so many very good teams. Burwell says there are a lot of middle-of-the-road teams such the Dolphins, Bears, 49ers, Packers and Giants, but doesn't think any of these teams will make the playoffs. Burwell thinks the Patriots are probably the team to beat in the AFC besides the Colts. Parris thinks the Broncos and Bengals are still enigmas and their playoff potential remains to be seen.

11:03a-- It's time for the Tuesday edition of the Brain of Burwell! Burwell says Rams fans should feel a little bit better about themselves now that their team is finally in the win column. Burwell says that Washington Redskins fans have the most to worry about, though the Cleveland Browns are the most disfunctional team in the NFL. Burwell says now that Cleveland has hired "consultants', this basically proves that the Browns are in complete and utter disarray. Burwell believes that the lack of parrity in the NFL is caused by non-football people trying to run football teams. Burwell believes the Colts have made all the right decisions when it comes to their front office and hiring new coaches; and the Lions have made all of the wrong moves.

11:23a-- Former Cardinal Cal Eldred joined the show to talk some St. Louis baseball and Iowa Hawkeyes football. Eldred says that it doesn't matter how ugly the wins look for Iowa, because a win is a win and if they continue to do so, they'll be National Champions. Eldred says the Hawkeyes season is made much more special because this was supposed to be a rebuilding year and now they are undefeated. Eldred says this year's World Series has been a very good one and he has been impressed by both teams. Eldred can see why these teams are in the World Series, because they are both extremely passionate about each and every play. Eldred didn't have any problems with Lee pitching game 5 instead of game 4, based on past pitching performances. Eldred does not want to see instant replay used in baseball.  Click below to hear the entire interview:
