Forget Garrick Utley

I thought the day would come eventually.  But it got here sooner than I thought.  Chase has supplanted Garrick as the most famous Utley.  You may call me crazy and most of the time you'd be right.  But not now.

As Chase Utley has cemented his spot in the World Series record books he has, with his Reggie Jackson tying five home runs, made Garrick an Utley afterthought.  Chase puts himself in a class along with Jackson, and several others who have belted four series homers.  Names like Duke Snider who did it twice for the Dodgers.  Hank Bauer for the Yankees, Gene Tenace for the A's, Barry Bonds and a couple of guys named Ruth and Gerhig all hit four in a series and now Utley is no longer the other Utley.

What!? You don't know Garrick Utley?  Garrick is the long time network newsman who also did some great reporting in Vietnam.  You don't know Garrick Utley.  You should be ashamed. Though now, thanks to Chase, the newsman is an afterthought on the Utley family tree.

Reporting from New York, I'm the other Utley.
