12:02pm – Bernie opens the show with his Bullet Points. The Rams may struggle next year with a young quarterback, but Marc Bulger is struggling so much right now there wouldn’t be much of a difference and at least they would be building towards something. Chase Utley is hitting great, and people who have followed the team for the last couple years know that he is the Phillies MVP. Ryan Howard is all out of whack and needs one more strikeout to have the record in the World Series.

12:22pm – MLB writer Ed Price of Fanhouse.com joins the show from New York. The Yankees will be starting Andy Pettite on short rest, but they don’t have a choice.  He doesn’t have the best numbers going on short rest, and he will be facing Pedro Martinez. Ed picked the Phillies before the series started, and they are a very tough team. If Pedro comes through they have a nice shot. Ryan Howard hasn’t faced many right-handed pitchers in the series which is why he is struggling according to Price.

12:42pm – Rams insider Brian Stull says the Rams were very happy to win Sunday, but they are keeping the win in perspective. Stull thinks Billy Bajema will be a bigger part of the Rams offense the second half of the season. Three guys who haven’t played up to their potential yet include Chris Long, Ron Bartell, and OJ Atogwe. Bernie asks Stull different Rams questions about players performance so far

1:02pm – Bernie gives the latest updates on the Blues. TJ Oshie and Carlo Colaiacovo were both back at practice today and they are both expected to play Thursday night. Coach Murray conducted more of a teaching practice today instead of the normal type. The Blues stars have to play better, but they also have to play more blue-collar hockey.

1:22pm – Bernie discusses Tony LaRussa and Mark McGwire and how Mark will address the media. LaRussa is convinced that McGwire will do the right thing. Tony has been schooling Mark on what to say.

1:42pm – Mizzou Coach Gary Pinkel joins the show. Coach says that they had a big win in a tough place to play in Colorado, and they have to stay consistent for four quarters each week. Blaine Gabbert is feeling better, and he doesn’t have a cast or boot on this week. Sean Witherspoon’s shoulder is fine. Coach also discusses Jeremy Maclin’s success in the NFL with the Eagles.
