Game 6...I like Andy Pettitte tonight for New York. Ryan Howard is already in a funk and if Pettitte can keep the ball out of the middle of the plate against Chase Utley he's got a shot. Don't forget or disrespect Raul Ibanez either but he can be pitched to, even in tough spots. Will righthanded hitters do some damage? Sure they will. But it is lefthanded hitters that are the bomb threats.
If Philadelphia is to prove me wrong Victorino and Werth will have to usher Pettitte out early, get to the Yankees' 'pen and then it doesn't matter from what side of the plate you hit. Pile on and keep Rivera out of the game.
New York knows that they are Pedro Martinez' daddy. Really over-used reference but it does fit here. Because they know they can beat Pedro there is a chance of over confidence or nonchalance. If that happens, Pete Martin could stick it to them for five and then it's up for grabs.
Here's to the old heads tonight...go out and hurl!
