12:02pm – Brian Stull fills in for Bernie who is flying back from Las Vegas. He opens the show with the Bullet Points. Brett Hull is going to be inducted in the hockey Hall of Fame tonight, and the Blues keep losing overtime games. 12:22pm – La’Roi Glover joins the show to discuss this weekend’s NFL games. Glover was in New Orleans for the Saints vs Panthers, and he says the Saints are the top team in the NFC. Glover thinks Larry Johnson will have a long road back to the NFL. La’Roi says that former Ram Anthony Hargrove is having a good season for the Saints because he was serious about turning his life around, and he gained weight and changed positions.
12:42pm – Former Blue Adam Oates joins the show to discuss Brett Hull’s induction to the hockey Hall of Fame. Adam says he doesn’t know many people who could be happier for Brett than himself. Oates says it is a shame that they weren’t teammates longer with how young they were when first playing together. He thinks the Blues probably would’ve won a Stanley Cup if they kept the team together.
1:02pm – Rams linebacker James Laurinaitis joins the show. He says he watched part of the Saints game yesterday while he was back in Columbus, Ohio, visiting with some family during the bye week. The bye week is a good thing because it’s a chance to rest a little bit and let your body heal. James says as he is getting more comfortable with the defense he is making less mental errors.
1:22pm – Stull says Carl Crawford would be the most intriguing player to him to replace Matt Holliday if he doesn’t come back. Brian also says it would be interesting to bring back Placido Polanco to play second base and put Skip Schumaker back in the outfield. Stull also talks about Andre Agassi discussing his problems last night with Rick Reilly, and he plays a couple sound bytes from the interview. 1:42pm – Cardinals insider Joe Strauss joins the show live from the MLB GM meetings. John Mozeliak just got to the GM meetings in Chicago, and Joe doesn’t think the Cardinals will do much at the meetings except maybe meeting with Scott Boras about Holliday. Joe Crede is at a point in his career with injuries that Joe thinks he is greatly diminished and if a team signed him it would be an incentive-laden contract. The Cardinals want an impact hitter more than an on-base guy.
