9:02a-- Matt Perrault joins Burwell on Burwell & Company. Matt wonders whether or not Greinke should win the Cy Young when he was on such a lousy team. Burwell thinks Greinke should have won and is glad the writers did their homework picking Greinke. Matt thinks wins are overrated, Burwell completely disagrees. Burwell doesn't think the votes will be split between Carpenter & Wainwright for the NL Cy Young. Matt thinks Wainwright will win, but, he would give it to Carpenter. Burwell would give it to Wainwright because of the hard nosed competitor he is. Burwell thinks what La Russa did the first half of the year might have been his best managing performance yet, but he still thinks Jim Tracy is the Manager of the Year.

9:22a-- Guys talk Mozeliak, Holliday negotiations. Matt thinks the Cardinials should ignore what Holliday says because with Boras being Holliday's agent he will just be pestering. Jon Paul Morosi of foxsports.com joins the show and he thinks Holliday will be playing somewhere else and it will be in the American League. Jon says Boras is hoping Jason Bay signs with the Mariners so that way all the big payroll teams will fight over Holliday. Jon also thinks we need to wait until the winter meetings in order to get a better read on this situation. Jon thinks that if the Cards don't get Holliday, they might get a second baseman, but with 18 million dollars they would probably pick up more than 1 player.  Click below to hear the entire interview:

9:42a-- Guys talk college basketball. Burwell says if you are a basketball fan you had to be at Scottrade Center last night, the who's who of hall of famers was spectacular. Matt thinks basketball can be a refuge for a guy like Rick Pitino, who has had such a turbulent summer. Matt thinks men like Pitino who are on the road have affairs all the time. Burwell thinks as long as Pitino is winning nobody will care about his personal life.

10:02a-- Joe Schaad joins the guys to talk Mark Mangino / KU investigation. Joe thinks Kansas is taking this very seriously. Joe says the investigation stems from Mangino pushing a player during a walk through. Joe says Kansas is going to talk to parents of former players to see if his behavior is abusive or just tough love. Joe says if Kansas fires Mangino it wouldn't cost them much money, but he thinks it is fair to say this may be a smokescreen to fire Mangino. Joe thinks it is interesting that all the heavier coaches are in the hotseat, it may be an image issue being overweight. Burwell is hoping all top 3 teams lose 1 game and those 1 loss teams get matched up in the BCS title game.  Click below to hear the entire interview:

10:22a-- Guys wonder if Lebron James could be an NFL player. Burwell knows Lebron would be a sensational football player. Matt says Bo Jackson was the best two sport athlete of all time. Burwell thinks Jim Brown was the only other rival to Bo Jackson as a Lacrosse player.

10:42a-- Rams insider Jim Thomas joins the guys. Jim thinks the Rams loss to the Saints was one of the most entertaining Rams games he has seen in a while but he wouldn't call it moral victory. Jim thinks Sunday wasn't a fluke for Brandon Gibson and he wasn't that surprised because the coaches had been going on about him for so long. Jim says the Rams need to consistently score 20 points a game if they want to win more games.
