The early part of the Atlantic 10 schedule is a tough one for St. Louis University.  The Billikens with a 2-1 start, get a home game Wednesday against a down trodden Fordham.  Then the next five game stretch is a grueling one.

First a five game trip to George Washington and Richmond.  The jury is still out on GW but they play well at home in a very hostile environment.  Then on to Richmond who will be out for blood after the Bills upset them in St. Louis to open conference play.

SLU will catch a quick breath at home for St. Bonaventure but they have proven in the past, the Bonnies know how to play St. Louis.

Then comes the Philadelphia swing.  Again a five day trip with La Salle and St. Joe's.

So, starting tonight at Chaifetz the Billikens have six games that will help stratify and position teams for the second half run.

Rick Majerus and the SLU players won't look ahead.  They don't have that luxury.  But if the Bills go at least 3-3 in the next six or somehow 4-2, the home town guys will be positioned just right for the second half with most of the league contenders visiting the "Jewel of Midtown".

But it does start tonight.  And more than victory the squad needs to play well and show that they can execute at a high level.
