Tiger spoke to the world for the first time. I found it underwhelming. Here are the quick notes I took while watching.
-He's still lying about Elin taking a shot with the nine-iron. Otherwise he would have told us what did mess up his face. But rather than make something up, he left it blank.
-He's very angry. I would be too. I used to be able to do whatever I wanted...now I can't...that makes me angry!
-I will never hire IMG when I get in trouble. Notice I said when...it's inevitable. Their presentation was nothing short of shabby. If they did't want to come off overly slick and produced...success! Folding chairs?!...Blue drapes?!...Doors that apparently led to the 19th hole?!...Tiger's shirt and jacket missed. Either put on a tie with that shirt...get a different shirt where the collar doesn't make you look like the Flying Nun...or at least button the jacket and keep everything in place. IMG's fault, not Tiger's.
-I still say he should have consulted with Vince McMahon and become the villain. Tell everybody to kiss his butt, show up at every tournament with big brassy blondes and redheads in the car. Play while smoking big obnoxious cigars. From whom would you be more likely to buy extenz from, Tiger or Jimmy Johnson? Spokesman for Vegas...are you kidding me?
Good luck Tiger. To me you'll always be golf's bad boy.
The Billikens have a must win on Sunday at UMass. That's quite a statement to make for a team playing on the road. But if SLU is to keep it's roll on the court and in national recognition it's got to get this one.
UMass loves to run and score and they have great penatrating guards. That will be a problem for the Billikens. I think they'll rise to the challenge.
