Missouri got the win the they had to have. Not so much that it will help them elevate in status for the tournament but to lose the game would raise questions. Hilton is a tough place to play and it doesn't matter how you survive there...to do so is enough. Now you face Kansas in your house. Bring it on.
My guys at Detroit got the tough, first round road win in the Horizon. Winning at Valpo is never easy and the Titans might make a run.
The Billikens play host to Temple tonight. This could be an ugly one. By that I mean, two teams that stress and excell at defense, could really lock things down. Don't expect anyone to score a hundred...not a single team to a hundred, I mean combined score!
There is one other A-10 game that will affect SLU's hold on 4th place in the league. Charlotte heads to Rhode Island. Two teams that were once highly regarded and now find themselves on the outside looking in. Whoever loses is out of the big dance. This is not a play in game. It is a play out game. If URI wins, as expected, they move into 5th place all alone and only one game behind SLU, should the Billikens lose to Temple. That's important because SLU has the tough task of finishing up at Dayton. If the Flyers get their payback, SLU would still be ahead of URI because of the tie breaker. A lot has to happen this week before it's all figured out. But, that's the fun.
