The Blues can improve their out-of-conference mark to 7-7-2 with a win tomorrow night in New York against the Islanders. The tilt will be one-of-three remaining games against Eastern Conference opponents in the current regular season.
Last season the Blues were 7-10-1 out-of-conference. Not impressive, but a one-win improvement from 6-3-1 in 2007-2008 and a vast departure from a futile 1-7-2 mark against the East in 2005-2006, the first year following the last lockout. Since the cancellation of the 2004-2005 season, the Blues are 25-30-and-8 against the Eastern Conference.
The Isles will enter tomorrow night's match up looking to end a three-game slide after back-to-back one-goal losses. The Note hopes to return to its winning ways after having a five-game win streak snapped in Colorado on Saturday.
