The Blues face the Rangers tonight in New York looking to snap a two-game losing skid in a 6:00 start. Ty Conklin will be in nets making his first start since February 4th. This will be the first game in the last 13 that Chris Mason watches the start from the bench.
The Note is seven points back of idle Detroit for the final playoff spot in the West. The Blueshirts are three points back of Boston for the last postseason spot in the East.
The Blues are coming off a 5-3 loss at home to Colorado on Tuesday night. That same evening the Rangers fell to Montreal, 3-1. The loss snapped a two-game win streak for New York.
Davis Payne's team has 13 games left in the regular season, which ends April 10th in Nashville. Following tonight's test the Blues will skate Saturday night in New Jersey against former Blues' blueliner Bryce Salvador and the Devils. When the Blues return home they'll have just four games left away from Scottrade Center.
