Burwell and Stelton show note Tuesday 7.20.10

9:02A -- The Big Issue- No Big Issue because the team is hitting on all cylinders. Stelton says that if you have an issue if anything, it can be that Hawksworth struggled. Burwell says that a few weeks ago the Cardinals were like the week outside and how it is dark and gloomy. Now, it seems like whatever the Cardinals do it seems like they believe that they can come back.

9:17A -- Mel Antonen MLB Reporter of the USA today joins the show! He says that it is all going to be up to pitching. He has suggested Jake Westbrook and Dan Haren. The guys discuss the loss of Scott Rolen to the Cincinatti. Mel says that the NL Champion Phillidelphia Phillies are not the same team as last year. Antonen thinks that the Atlanta Braves are the closest thing to a dominant team in the NL.

9:35A --  The guys discuss the big question of where T.O. will sign. Bob brings out a story that came out about Owens agent Drew Rosenhaus said that T.O. will sign soon. Stelton thinks that there is zero intrest in T.O. around football. The guys dont think that he is a bad person or a guy but just a bad teamate so thats why no one wants to to sign him. THE HOCKEY MINUTE: Ilya Kovalchuk signs a 17 year, $102 million deal.

9:48A -- Brian Stull joins the Burwell and Stelton today! Stully thinks that Rampage is the best mascot name. He believes that Bradford will get signed closer to training camp. The other two guys that are not signed should get signed pretty quickly. Stully hears that Bradford will probably get action around Week 4 or so. On top of that, the Rams should ride AJ Feeley until the Rams think that Bradford is ready.

10:03A --  There are two things tht are worrying Burwell still. One is the health of David Freese and also the starting pitching. The guys say that it is a good problem to have that they have too many hitters to play when Ludwick and Freese come back. Burwell says that Jon Jay's swing looks like Carlos Beltran.

10:18A -- We catch up with Ryan Ludwick. He says that he is feeling great and is in a rehab start. He wants this time to come back when he knows for sure he is ready to go. He also says that he is chomping at the bit to get back into the lineup. Ludwick enjoys the warm weather and thinks that the ball travels better.

10:33A -- The guys discuss Dwayne Wade apologizing. Burwell doesnt mind Wade's comments because he was just trying to make a point. He's not saying what he said was stupid but likes that he was proving a point. Stelton thinks that this issue in general was dumb. The guys have the same opinion with the Tim McCarver issue with Yankee Stadium and the lack of historical value there was over Joe Torre.

The BS Blowout Question: Ryan Ludwick's calf looked pretty good when he was running away from what person?

10:49A -- The BS Poll Results: Rush wins with 63% of the vote with Rampage getting 21% of the votes. The BS Blowout answer was JDFM the producer of the show who Ryan Ludwick was running away from. Congrats to FEDEX Matt for getting the BS Blowout.

An Ounce of Truth: Stelton- He is facinated that when athletes are caught red handed doing something illegal, the athletes always say not guilty when they are clearly guilty.

Burwell- He lied to everyone when he said that he would not try and find out what Farve is coming back. He wants to know now.
