9:03a -- Big Issue- Oswalt to the Cardinals?
Stelton is by himself today as Burwell is off today. He says that the BS show has given the touch to the Cardinals players that they have talked to and then they get hot. Joe Strauss and NBC reports that the Cardinals are the top runner for Roy Oswalt. He says that if this happens then they will have the best rotation in baseball no questions asked. He says that prospects get pumped up in every town and no one has no clue how they will ever be. He says that if you have a proven commody in Roy Oswalt and you are just trading question marks with prospects you do it in a second.

9:19a -- MLB writer on espn.com Jerry Crasnick joins the program. He thinks that Roy to the Cardinals is more realistic than to go to the Phillies. He agrees with Stelton and thinks that the Cardinals would have the best rotation in baseball if they get Oswalt. He thinks that if they were to get Oswalt, Shelby Miller would almost have to be in the deal. Jerry say that the Cardinals are on a good run because Pujols is getting some help. Crasnick thinks that Ryne Sandberg will be too hard to pass up for the manigerial job on Chicago.
9:33a -- The guys talked to Jon Jay at the ballpark yesterday. Jon says that as long as he does his part everything will be ok. He says that he is super excited about the Miami Heat. He says that everyone has made himself feel at home for the Cardinals. Stelton says that Jay has been great offensively and also defensively in the time he has been up here. Bob says that Jaime Garcia should be way up there in the ROY voting.
9:47a -- Stelton brings up the Chris Paul Story who has asked for a trade. Paul says he want to team up with another superstar with the Knicks, Lakers or Magic. Stelton says that it is more than just the NBA that players do this when they just go for money. He points out Alex Rodriguez and his $275 million dollars. He also notes Carlos Silva and Gil Meshe who just signed for the money. So he questions what is more important money or winning. He says that people torch these guys to win but not as much for money. He says that it is a no brainer for Paul to go somewhere else to win.
10:02a -- Joe Strauss joins the Burwell and Stelton show. He says that no one really know if this deal will really get done for Oswalt. He thinks that it will actually be cheaper to get Oswalt than for Dan Haren. He thinks that after a while the Cardinals will have to keep some of their young prospects. He says that any deal with Oswalt will get the Cardinals will be up to 100 milllion dollars in cap hit next year. Tim Kurkjian says that salary will make this hard to do this deal. Stelton says that it is realistic because he will be signed after this year as well.
10:16a -- Stelton talked to Brendan Ryan at Busch Stadium yesterday. He says that he has been working hard in the cage to get his swing back in order. He says that he has been pressing and he is embarrased by it. He says that it makes him sick to his stomach that he is playing this way and it is not a lack of trying. He thinks that things will start to get better and thinks it will. Stelton says that Cardinals fans are great for supporting their players when they are in a slump.
10:32a -- Jim Thomas 101 ESPN Rams Insider joins the program. Jim says that Sam Bradford really knows the importance of being in camp on time. Bradford knows that if he is in camp as soon as possible then he will have a better chance of getting the starting job. Thomas talks about the OJ Atogwe deal and if OJ doesnt play too wel this year then the Rams can get rid of him and save a ton of money.
