9:03a -- Big Issue of the Day: Cards win streak ends as Oswalt trade rumors continue. Stelton is ok with the loss because Cole Hamels was awesome yesterday. Not only was Hamels was great the relievers were good too. He points out that Adam Wainwright didnt have his great stuff but got out of it and lowered his ERA to under 2. Stelton points out that the Cardinals are the only team that Roy Oswalt is the only team that he said that he would like to go to and that is good because of his no trade clause.

9:20a -- J.P. Ricciardi a former GM of the Toronto Blue Jays joins the program. He says that the trade deadline as a GM is the best time of year. Ricciardi says that it would be a different story if the Astros were baddly trying to get rid of Oswalt but they are not. Since this is the case, the Astros actually hold all the cards even though he said that he wants to be a Cardinal. He believes that the Astros wont do this unless they get what they want in return. He says that you should go for the proven guy than the prospect most of the time. The HGH testing in the minor league level is something J.P. is very much in favor of.

9:34a -- The BS Poll Question: Do you want to see HGH testing at the major league level? Stelton says that most fans think that the game of baseball is better when athletes hit the ball 500+ feet. Jeff Passan writes that Bud Selig is doing the HGH testing now because he will be stepping down soon and trying to make him look better after the steroid era. Stelton says that there are no false positives with this testing so baseball should embrace this.

9:49a -- Rashard Mendenhall Pittsburgh Steelers RB joins the Burwell and Stelton show today. He says that he has a lot of motaviation since they did not get into the playoffs last year. Rashard says that the media overplays the "distractions" a little bit. As many people in the NFL are trash talkers, Rashard is different and how he is a not trash talker.

10:03a -- Stelton says that all kinds of sports writers are all over this Roy Oswalt possible deal. He seems to think that the Astros dont value Shelby Miller as much as the Cardinals do.

10:18a -- Jack "The Ripper" Clark joins the Burwell and Stelton show. Jack says that he has never been to Cooperstown so he is very excited to be there. Stelton agrees with Clark that the loss last night was an ok loss because of how great Hamels was. Clark points out how Hamels had to be great because of how poor the Phillies have been. He says that it seems like the Cubs players are trying to all get some better stats to make it seem like they did better for Lou Piniella. Jack also agrees with J.P. and with Bob in that if you can get a guy like Oswalt then you need to do it. He also is in favor of the HGH testing and says that it should be in the majors as well.

10:37a -- Brian Feldman Cardinals Insider joins the program. He says that the Cardinals locker room was actually pretty upbeat after todays loss. He says that the biggest friend is that Roy Oswalt wants to go to the Cardinals. Brian Feldman actually disagrees with the other guys because Shelby Miller is the only minor league player worth looking at in the minors. He says that if they trade Miller then they wont have any minor league system.

10:50a -- The BS Blowout Question: What city was Jack Clark driving through when we were talking to him? The answer is Cleveland and congratulations to Larry in Creve Coeur.

The BS Poll Results: Yes- 60% No- 40%

An Ounce Of Truth: Stelton actually gives credit to Bug Selig to his HGH testing in the minor leagues. He believes that it will eventually lead to HGH testing in the majors as well. This is the right thing and will make the players look better and the game in general look better.
