Barring any issues during his team physcial, Steven Jackson will be ready to go when the Rams take to the practice field on Saturday afternoon.

Head coach Steve Spagnuolo shared that Jackson, Roger Allen, Oshiomogho Atogwe, Jacob Bell, Daniel Fells, Bradley Fletcher, Chris Massey, Rodger Saffold, and Jason Smith--all of whom were not practicing when the offseason program ended--were cleared, although some may be limited.

"They're all doing really good." said Spagnuolo. "Now, some of them will be limited, but all of those guys will be practicing, which is a good sign.  I think Reggie (Scott) and his group did a great, tremendous job in the offseason here, this break.  These guys were in here working. Their teammates were ever working out and they were here really working and rehabbing.  I thought Reggie and his crew did a great job."

The situation is not so bright for Mark Setterstrom--who underwent surgery for a torn triceps on June 23rd. A decision is expected later today of whether he will go on IR (Injured Reserve) or placed on the PUP (Physically Unable to Perform) list.

The recovery time for Setterstrom is 4-6 months.

Spagnuolo chose not to elaborate on the Rams' interest in free agent Terrell Owens, sharing only that he respected TO's ability and the decision was made by going about things "the right way".

"We made the decision that we were going to stick with what we have here and just move on.  A lot of respect to that particular player, but it was talked about and we're moving on from that."

The door remains open, however, for both Leonard Little and Brian Westbrook. Both of the veteran free agents are weighing their options and Spags seemed to indicate it was more of their own decision than the Rams if they would return.

"We're still looking at that.  I've talked to Brian, but we have to let that process play itself out.  I mean, there's decisions on both sides and were hopeful there, too. We'll see what happens. "

For those wondering, yes, A.J. Feeley is still the starting quarterback--if a game were to be played today.

"Yes, just like I stated all last spring," laughed Spags. "If we played today - I'm sticking with it - if we played today A.J. would be the guy."

Talks with Sam Bradford and Rodger Saffold are going well, Spagnuolo is "hopeful" that both will be in camp on time--adding Saffold's deal could be done within the next 24-48 hours.
