Daily Bernie: October 19 – Tarasenko Out to Prove Something, How Worried Should the Cubs Be?

Vladimir Tarasenko scored 40 goals on 34 assists last season. You’d think this wouldn’t leave much to be desired for fans or team, but the Russian forward saw a decline in playoff minutes for defensive purposes.

vladimir tarasenko
Tarasenko has four goals and two assists through six games this season.

There’s no denying Tarasenko’s skill-set, but the club wants the star to become the complete leader he can. This means more time in the defensive zone and on penalty kills. He’s met the challenge so far this new season.

Bernie talks Vladdy’s game as well as Jake Allen’s ability to keep games close. Your host also welcomes Mizzou beat writer Tod Palmer, ESPN’s John Clayton, and SI.com’s Jay Jaffe.
