Dexter Fowler’s role with the 2016 Champion Chicago Cubs was well known, as the leadoff man was told regularly by skipper Joe Maddon. It looks like Mike Matheny and John Mozeliak may be following suit.

Fowler is 6-for-13 this spring with six runs scored.

Free agency kicks off today and quarterbacks are at the top of the priority list for those in need. This need is exacerbated by the dearth at the position in April’s draft.
