Friday Football Frenzy and Picks – Am I Stabilizing? Falcons Over Cowboys, Canes Over the Irish

Honestly, I don’t know if I’m finally stabilizing or not. I think I may be, but just when I’ve thought that in the past I’ve had a terrible week. I’ll say this: I’m due for a big week because I really haven’t had one yet.

NFL Week 10

SEA (-6) @ ARZ

Whew. No loss on Thursday Night Football. That’s a relief…even though Seattle didn’t look all that good.

CLE @ DET (-11)

GB @ CHI (-5.5)

The Bears should win this one – GB looks helpless on offense with Hundley – but I want the points. Feels like a close, low-scoring game.

PIT (-10) @ IND

I know Big Ben struggles on the road but I think this is a case of Bell just crushing the Indy defense. I’ll lay the points.

LAC @ JAX (-4.5)

I think Jacksonville is going to win this game but I’m gonna take the points. Chargers have the weapons to hang within a FG.

NYJ (-2.5) @ TB

CIN @ TEN (-4.5)

I want the points against an offense that has been really sluggish all year. Still think Titans squeeze out a win.

MIN (-1.5) @ WAS

HOU @ LAR (-11)

I hate giving up this many points three times in a single week but I can’t see Savage keeping the Texans in the game.

DAL @ ATL (-3)

Big game for both, Atlanta a little more desperate and should be able to take advantage of Zeke’s suspension.

NYG (-2.5) @ SF

NE (-7.5) @ DEN

Look at what Philly did to the Broncos last week. New England won’t do that on the road but DEN defense can’t save the Osweiler-led offense.

MIA @ CAR (-10)

Ugh. Four double digit favorites picked by me this week. Not great.

Last Week: 7-6

Season Total: 63-68

College Football Week 11

9 Washington (-6) @ Stanford

Indiana (-8) @ Illinois

12 Michigan State @ 13 Ohio State (-17)

Sparty covers the 17, OSU wins. Dantonio has had success against OSU so this should be interesting.

Rutgers @ 14 Penn State (-31)

15 Oklahoma State (-6.5) @ 21 Iowa State

UConn @ 18 Central Florida (-40.5)

23 NC State (-3) @ Boston College

Wolfpack looking to bounce back after a tough loss to Clemson. I think they’ll win by 10.

Arkansas @ 24 LSU (-17)

17 Virginia Tech (-3) @ Georgia Tech

Hokies bounce back after tough loss to the Canes last week. They may win big.

1 Georgia (-2) @ 10 Auburn

Defense should dominate this one but I like UGA’s offense better than Auburn’s, I think they get it done on the road.

Florida State @ 4 Clemson (-15.5)

The Noles are just not good. Clemson has a lot on the line and they’re at home, they’ll pull away in this one.

20 Iowa @ 8 Wisconsin (-12)

I think Wisconsin wins this game but Iowa makes it interesting, keeps it close enough to cover 12.

11 USC (-13) @ Colorado

19 Washington State (-1) @ Utah

2 Alabama (-13.5) @ 16 Mississippi State

This could be a close one but I think Bama wears them out as the game goes along and pulls away in the 4th Q with the power running game.

Purdue @ 25 Northwestern (-3.5)

Tennessee @ Missouri (-12.5)

Mizzou wins but here’s what scares me: Vols D is 3rd in FBS in fewest passing yards allowed per game, only 5 schools have allowed fewer TD passes.

6 TCU @ 5 Oklahoma (-6.5)

Going with the better QB on his home field. Not over complicating this one.

3 Notre Dame (-3.5) @ 7 Miami

Picked against my Canes last week. Not this week. They win it with big plays on offense, creating turnovers on defense.

Last Week: 11-9

Season Total: 87-87
