From the Betting Window

Friday’s 6/7/19 Picks & Results:

Brewers Team Total Over 5.5 (-120) = WIN (+1.0 units)

Saturday 6/8/19 Picks:

927 Seattle Mariners at 928 Los Angeles Angels, 9:07 p.m. CT

Now is the time to jump on rookie southpaw Yusei Kikuchi, who was pounded in his last two starts. One of those outings came against these very Angels, who scored six runs on 10 hits in just 3 1/3 innings versus Kikuchi. The rookie has an average strikeout rate (17.7%) and has already allowed 11 home runs on the season.

Taking a deeper dive into Kikuchi’s struggles, nine of the 11 ding dongs that he’s surrendered this season have come against right-handed hitters. Have you ever heard of Mike Trout? He’s decent. Albert Pujols also bats from the right side and while Shohei Ohtani hasn’t hit lefties well, he’s a power threat, too.

While the Angels were held to just two runs last night at home, they’ll face a Seattle bullpen that owns a 5.02 xFIP entering play Saturday. Only the Rangers have a worst mark at 5.04. With a total of only 4.5, I love the Halos’ bats in a rebound spot tonight.

The Pick: Angels Team Total Over 4.5 (-130) = Risking 1.30 units to win 1.0 units
