Blues hockey is electric

Isn’t what’s happening with the Blues what sports is all about? The electricity over the last few weeks at Scottrade Center has been palpable, and I can’t wait until Friday. I think about it all the time. And the excitement about the team is warranted. If they beat Columbus on Friday night, they’ll be a playoff team.

If you’re an avid Blues fan now, aren’t you pumping your fist as you sit alone in front of the TV when B.J. Crombeen scores to tie the game in Phoenix? Doesn’t your heart pump a little faster when the officials make a ridiculous call on Dan Hinote and give the Coyotes a five minute power play? Is it hard to get to sleep after the win? Don’t you wait breathlessly for Paul Kariya updates? Is he playing Sunday? Maybe even Friday?

It’s amazing. For me, there’s more of a jump in my step. Weights at the gym seem lighter. I’m just a little happier.

It’s…electricity. There’s nothing like it.

Go Blues!
