Jordan’s shrug, eighteen years ago today.

The NBA Finals start tonight with Kobe Bryant and the Lakers hosting the Boston Celtics.

Amazingly, it was eighteen years ago today that Michael Jordan set an NBA Finals record with six three-pointers (and shrugged in astonishment) in his record 35 point first half.

He hit the six three-pointers after it was suggested that Portland might be a better three-point shooting team than the Bulls. He was, in a word, unbelievable.
