One of the wonderful things about our society is that people can rally for a suffering rival.
We saw it with the Yankees and New York Giants after 9-11, and for the Saints after Hurricane Katrina, along with the amazing support in hockey for Mario Lemieux when he was diagnosed with Hodgkins disease.
Now, we’re seeing the same support on the PGA Tour for Amy Mickelson, Phil Mickelson’s wife, after her diagnosis with breast cancer.
Congratulations to the competitors on the tour for thinking of a colleague that needs support. Too often, we’re a mean, vindictive, uncaring society. Glad to see that trend is being reversed this weekend.
