Read on for words from Delana’s Bowling Coach explaining why she is worthy of 101 ESPN’s Senior Spotlight …
This young lady has improved so much in the last 18 months – as the senior of the special “Prospect” group that I coach. She made such an improvement that she has signed for Missouri Baptist in St Louis. She will make an excellent improvement to that program
Delana has led the Windsor High School teams (3 total – 19 bowlers). She has been my right hand with coordination and spirit with the bowlers – this included 8th grade through 12th. As you can imagine, this alone 2 days a week is quite the undertaking. Delana has led my group of Prospects. Being the lone senior and most experienced, she has shown the ability to bring the bowlers together and show by example, which has rubbed off on the others.
In closing, I can never as a coach or as an individual, thank this young lady enough for her effort. She is, and will continue to, grow as a person and leader. I cannot wait to see what the future has for her. It would mean the world to me to be able to give her something for a senior present, since she has lost the end to what has been a great high school experience.
