101 ESPN’s Senior Spotlight shines on Levi Ebersoldt of Jefferson High School

Please read on to hear Coach Robert Kuehnle describe Levi and what makes him so special …

Levi started on Varsity as a Freshman being the Ace of the staff all the way through to what would have been his senior year. He is a born leader who did nothing but help us win season after season. He is the kinda kid that you build a program around with his work ethic and his unbelievable talent to get the most out of his teammates. He is the last kid to leave practice and the first to show up.

He boasted a 1.42 cumulative ERA, broke the school strikeout record and many more records. He did all of this while staying humble and still helping out his teammates in whatever capacity he could. He is what a player should be, he is what you try to get all your guys to be.

Levi is also a member of our student council government for four years. National Honor Society for three years, Band for two years, Leadership for 2 years, and was the Vice President of the Junior class.

I am honored to say I coached this young man and as he continues his career at William Jewell where I know that he will do great things. He is a kid I really feel for as I do all the seniors in this predicament. The kiddos that have worked hard and has their senior season ripped from them.
